The NDIS reforms will see the disability sector moving away from eight separate State/Territory funding schemes to one uniform, national scheme.
Under NDIS , clients will be allocated funding for disability services and supports so they will have choice as to what providers will provide the services that best fit their needs.
By allocating funding for disability services and supports to people with disabilities themselves the NDIS aims to ensure that Australians with a disability – and their families, where relevant – enjoy far greater choice and control over all necessary services and supports.
The initial rollout in NSW will be in South West including Wetherill Park commencing 1/7/16
It will mean there is no age expiry date as it will be eligible for all participants aged 0 to 65 For those that have had funding under HWCA (Fahcsia) or Better Start and their funding has expired as your child has reached 7 years of age you can again apply for funding
